the world's longest dog tongue

Brandy the boxer has the world's longest dog tongue - 17 inches (43 cm). She's perfectly happy and healthy, says owner John Scheid. He says when she was born, she alreayd had a Grown Up Size tongue and it's just kept going. He also adds that it's quite a thing to see her eat as she makes a bit of a mess, with food and water pretty much flying everywhere. John has a lot of patience.
Brandy has her own fan club and website, www.tungdog.com . It's a full fledged business, especially after making it into Ripley's Believe It Or Not.
the world's Long Tongue

Stephen Taylor of the UK holds the record for the world's longest tongue. It measures 9.4 centimeters from the tip to the center of his closed top lip. German student Annika Irmler holds the record for longest female tongue, at 7 centimeters. The tongue below does not belong to Annika Irmler, but could it be a challenger?

The World's Longest Hot Dog created was 60m (196.85 ft), and rested within a 60.3m bun. The hot dog was prepared by Shizuoka Meat Producers for the All-Japan Bread Association who baked the bun, and coordinated the event, which included the official measurement for the World Record. The hot dog and bun were the center of a media event in celebration of the Association's 50th anniversary on August 4, 2006, at the Akasaka Prince Hotel, Tokyo,
Is this the world's longest hair?

A woman has shown off her long hair - which measures a whopping 4.2 metres.
Forty-year-old Dai Yueqin, who was born in China but lives in the USA, has not cut her hair since she was 14.
She revealed her massive mane when she visited her hometown of Tong Xiang in eastern China. But her hair-raising barnet is not a record-breaker.
The Guinness World Record is held by Hoo Sateow from Thailand. His hair was 5.15 metres long, as he'd started growing it in 1929.

But he only just beat his brother, who also had incredibly long hair. Chang Mai's hair was 4.88 metres long.
World's Biggest Cat . . .

Now this is a big cat!
That has got to be some kind of world's record! It looks pretty scary too. I bet that cat has chased a lot of dogs in his day.
World's Biggest Cat

The debate over the coveted title of "world's largest cat" continues.
Mordred Grosfahrt of Andover West Germany claims the title of worlds largest cat with "Dubya" a 65 pound monster five year old female house cat . . . Etc

It's not a snake — really

.... If it looks like a snake, it's a snake. Unless, of course, it's a lizard.
This from one of our New Delhi correspondents, Ashok Sharma, who reports that an Indian zoologist has found a new species of limbless lizard. Seen above, it looks a lot like a snake. Or a spotted, deflated bicycle tire.

Some key differences:
1.Snakes can zigzag. Lizards move straight and would pass DUI tests.
2.Snakes can coil. Lizards lack flexibility.
3.Lizards bite and chew their prey; snakes swallow whole.

The Naked art in Milan

Florence has Michelangelo's famous 17-foot statue of David and now Milan has its own floating sculpture of a Goliath-sized naked man.
The 70-foot balloon sculpture is a self-portrait by Polish artist Pawel Althamer. It's been hovering outside the Renaissance Palazzina Appiani in Parco Sempione since Monday and has been drawing numerous amused looks and second takes.
